Premium Tap (by Pleasant Tap) will stand the 2009 season at his owner’s Janadria Farm outside Riyadh, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A multiple Grade 1 winner in the US in 2006 when he won the Woodward and the Clark Handicap, Pleasant Tap also was third to Invasor and Bernardini in the Breeders’ Cup Classic later that year and won Saudi Arabia’s most prestigious race in 2007.

He was sold to King Abdullah and sons to contest the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup in 2007, and after winning it he finished second to Invasor in the Dubai World Cup the next month. Premium Tap also won the important Crown Prince Cup in Saudi Arabia and finished fourth in the 2008 Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup. All told, the 7-year-old earned more than $2.5 million in five years of competition, although he didn’t win his first stakes until age 4.

Premium Tap will join a roster that includes the 21-year-old Mr. Prospector stallion Frequent, the 20-year-old Gone West stallion Torrey Canyon, and the 9-year-old Dynaformer horse Dynever, a multiple Grade 3 winner of more than $1 million. Dynever finished second in the 2005 Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup and second in the Dubai World Cup after that.

Torrey Canyon, an English stakes winner, is a leading sire of KSA-bred horses, including Najeb (Saudi Derby) and Adil (restricted King’s Cup).
The stallions at Janadria will cover a broodmare band that numbers 120.
